The Caught Path

The Caught Path

For more context, check Day job.

This ending triggers when the player was caught through too much sabotaging. It’s important to make the distinction that this can trigger regardless of the company’s current trust in the character. If regular patterns are detected (such as the same tasks being missed again and again), this will raise an alarm.

Several things can accelerate being caught: always blame the same colleague, failing the same task in multiple files, anything that can trace back to you in a too obvious way.

Conclusion cinematic

Just like in the Fired Path, the cinematics starts with the player’s desk being emptied then given over to someone else. However, a series of rapid cutscenes will show that the news of the player’s behavior have been spreaded through other companies, who will then reject the player’s job application. The characters is then thrown out in the streets, and rapidly found by two loan sharks who will break the character’s legs.

Out of money, unable to move, the character will die in a dark street without anyone caring just a few meters away.
